ABOUT THE JEWELLERY

Inspired by the bold, round forms of Abaporu by the Brazilian artist Tarsila do Amaral, this necklace wasn’t rushed. It took me over five months to finish.

Every paper clay bead was hand-shaped, hand-sanded and hand-painted. No moulds, no shortcuts. Just my hands, a lot of patience and many, many hours at my bench.

To finish, I paired the beads with brass, giving the necklace a warm glow.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece with real personality, and it deserves to be worn by someone who has it too.
