LET'S CELEBRATE OUR RESILIENCE
So, how are you feeling today? I hope everything is going well and you are feeling wonderful.
I really do hope you are well. Mainly because we all know that even though we say everything is fine and we are doing great, that is often not the case, right?
Like everybody else, I have my ups and downs. Sometimes, there is a sequence of many ups followed by a sequence of downs. Sometimes, they just intercalate each other, and sometimes, they can even happen at the same time.
I am sure you know how the story goes.
So, of course, this is a frequent topic in my mind. I have always thought about human resilience and what comes out of it.
The fantastic creatures we often meet on the other side, those ones that refuse to stay down and keep getting up again and again and again.
Another thing that I always think about is how easier it is to see this resilience in others than in ourselves.
Have you ever stopped and looked back at everything you've been through? At those moments, you woke up, and the first thought was, 'How am I going to make it to the end of the day?'
I am sure if you look at your life now, you will see a lot that you overcame, and probably sometimes you don't even know how, but you did. And CONGRATULATIONS for that!
Maybe you are in one of those 'down' moments right now, not knowing what to do. And for that, I'll tell you, it will pass. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but I guarantee it will pass.
And it is important to acknowledge it, especially in ourselves.
After all, we all break from time to time; the secret relies on how we put the pieces back together.
Because of this, I wanted to translate this resilience into a piece that would remind us of our strength.
Therefore, I created three necklaces made from real eggshells to represent your ability to overcome challenges and emerge stronger on the other side.
I believe eggs, as a symbol of life and resurrection, were the best choice of material to work with, and hand-stitching the pieces together is our resilience in not letting those broken pieces fall apart.
So, let's celebrate our resilience?

PS: If you are asking yourself how wearable an eggshell necklace might be, don't worry; you can wear it. The eggshells are reinforced, making them sturdy while still very lightweight.
