Who knows me knows that I am a massive fan of photography. I love taking photos, but mostly I love appreciating good photography.
Among all types of the genre, probably street photography is one of my favourites. Being able to capture an ordinary moment with a glance we haven't noticed before or being able to see that curious scene that no one else did is a talent for just a few.
I know that there's a lot of debate about street photography and what can be considered street photography. If the photographer was 'lucky' to be at the right place at the right time or if the photo was planned well before, it really doesn't matter. Nothing takes away the magic of an ordinary life seen from a different perspective.
So finding out about Eric Kogan's work was a delight. This New-Yorker based street photographer has a brilliant eye for clever photos.
Have a look.
